St Luke’s offers a number of transition afternoons where the children will be involved in ‘get to know you’ sessions with the current Prep teachers or our specialist teachers. At the same time parent information sessions will be held with members of the school Leadership Team to inform parents about the running of the school and the types of curriculum offered. At Advance Early Learning Centres, our Government Approved Three-Year-Old and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten Programs are delivered as integrated programs within our long day care environment. This provides children with a seamless progression through their early learning journey, from infancy and toddlerhood through to Kindergarten and ultimately school. We take a play-based, inquiry-led approach, where children are encouraged to explore their interests, ask questions, and develop a deep understanding of the world around them. Learning is not rushed instead, it is thoughtfully extended over time, allowing children to build confidence, persistence, and a genuine love of learning. Free Kinder is part of the Victorian Government’s Best Start, Best Life reforms, which provides support to access two years of high-quality kindergarten programs for all Victorian children.

Rather than starting again at each stage, children can continue growing within a familiar and trusted environment, surrounded by educators, friends and routines they already know. This continuity provides a sense of comfort, security and belonging, while allowing each new learning stage to build naturally on the experiences, relationships, skills and confidence developed in the years before. At Wantirna South Early Learning Centre, we proudly offer fully funded Victorian Government ‘Free Kinder’ programs for 3 & 4 Year Old Kindergarten. Our Kindergarten is delivered within our integrated Long Day Care setting and led by Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teachers, ensuring a high-quality, play-based learning experience. I have been in the Early Childhood Industry, nurturing and developing young children for over 27 years.I have been here at Goodstart Wantirna for the past 18 years. Kinder Haven Wantirna has strong connections with local primary schools, with school visits to the kindergarten and opportunities for children to visit their future school environment. These experiences help children feel confident, prepared and excited about starting school.
Both programs are led by dedicated educators and specialists, ensuring children benefit from rich, intentional learning experiences beyond the traditional classroom environment. As a double-unit sessional kindergarten, we provide a high quality, government-funded kindergarten program tailored to each child’s needs in a family-focussed and supportive way. As part of our annual re-enrolment process, conducted each August, families are invited to discuss their child’s upcoming kindergarten year with the service.

Through purposeful play, children develop the knowledge, confidence and skills that support their learning, school readiness and beyond. Our early learning centre offers a Government-funded kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life. Learning experiences are intentionally planned around each child’s interests while supporting the outcomes of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. Our Kindergarten Programs are led by qualified Early Childhood Teachers who work alongside our educators to deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences tailored to each child’s individual strengths, interests and stage of development. Our Kindergarten Programs are intentionally designed to support children’s transition to primary school by developing the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to thrive.
Kindergarten/preschool subsidy is subject to State Government specific requirements including child age eligibility criteria and the delivery of the funded program by an Early Childhood Teacher on the day the subsidy is claimed by the family. Calculations herein are based on the assumption all eligibility criteria is met. We often have visits from local community services in Wantirna to help familiarise the children with their local community, and we go out on adventures in our local area to teach the children about their local environment. I have been passionately dedicated to the early education sector since 2000. I am passionate about building meaningful relationships with families and playing a pivotal role in children’s lives. With an Advanced Diploma in Community Services and a wealth of experience gained from exceptional mentors in the field, I bring a deep commitment to nurturing the next generation.

St Luke’s Primary School is an inclusive school where enrolment is open to Catholic, and students from other faith traditions whose families support the values of the Catholic School. Flamingo Three Year Old Kindergarten is operated by Flamingo Community Group Inc, which contributes insignificant to the total available child care capacity in Victoria. KU Mariemont Kindergarten is operated by KU Children’s Services, which contributes 0% to the total available child care capacity in Victoria. Flamingo Uniting Kindergarten is operated by Uniting (Victoria and Tasmania) Limited, which contributes 1% to the total available child care capacity in Victoria.
We offer funded kindergarten programs for both 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds, supporting local families with quality early childhood education. At Bena Angliss, we value family input and cherish our strong connections with the local community. We enjoy working collaboratively to provide diverse and meaningful learning experiences for our children.
Alongside this, children are introduced to early STEM concepts (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) through hands-on, play-based experiences. Whether investigating the natural environment, building and  constructing, exploring patterns, or solving problems collaboratively, children develop curiosity, critical thinking, and an understanding of how the world works. Wantirna South Early Learning Centre offers our families a 4-year-old Kinder Program.
