When the Shiny Sheet reported that Helmut Newton and I were coming to Palm Beach to do an article on the community forVanity Fair,we had a few experiences of our own. The mother of a postdeb delivered a letter to Helmut at the Breakers, imploring him to moonlight from hisVanity Fairassignment to photograph her daughter’s cocktail party. According to local lore, the unsightly community offended the eye of Henry Flagler, known as the founder of Palm Beach, and other town fathers. In a magnanimous-appearing gesture, they invited the entire population of the Styx over to West Palm Beach to a circus performance and barbecue, and during their absence burned the shantytown to the ground. There are endless stories of acutely embarrassing situations that have occurred when people have brought Jewish friends to the clubs and the friends have been asked to leave the golf course, or the tennis courts, or the dining room. In one particularly irksome case, the head of the Palm Beach branch of an international company cannot bring the chairman of the board of the company to his clubs, even though the chairman of the board is a winter resident of Palm Beach.
In addition, she manages all vendors involved including hotels, caterers, and virtual technology in addition to handling event logistics such as attendee registration, marketing and communications, transportation, and travel. Within Haddonfield’s educational system, Mary exhibited a passion for travel and tourism from a young age. Mary Hoover Drucker hails from Haddonfield, NJ, and studied at Clemson University. In her leisure time, she enjoys travel activities and spending time with her French Bulldog, Winnie.

AICE was first offered in the US in 1995, and officially adopted in Florida in 2001. PVCHS became an  official Centre in August of 2010 as an avenue for Park Vista students to expand learning opportunities to increase learning for our global society. The AICE Diploma is awarded based on competence in seven subjects; however, students can take and be awarded for individual subjects.
“Those other people,” the 50 percent she was talking about, referred to what is most commonly called “the Jewish thing,” about which no one likes to commit himself, although it is a constant in conversation. One man told me, “Palm Beach is the only unabashedly Wasp community left in the United States, but we’re up-front about it.” Other people consider Palm Beach a bastion of anti-Semitism. Students must have a “true desire to think”, a willingness to be intellectually involved in group discussions and motivated to improve their skills at thinking. Candidates practice making informed decisions based on sound logical reasoning. Reflection on the outcome facilitates improvement of future decisions.
Mary oversees the entire financial landscape of the event, from initial budget planning to final reconciliation. She works closely with finance teams to ensure accurate expenditure tracking. Mary’s approach involves meticulous planning and cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders. She organizes key phases, including initial concept development, on-site execution, and post-event analysis. Her ability to adapt to fast-paced environments ensures every event runs  smoothly. Mary Hoover Drucker excels in managing large-scale events, overseeing substantial budgets, coordinating vendors, and handling logistics seamlessly.
Katie Ingram has worked in the mental health industry since 2007 and provided psychotherapy services in Florida since 2016. In addition to being a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor, Katie is a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and uses play therapy with children ages 5+. She is a Guardian ad Litem in the 15th Circuit, Palm Beach County, and a Certified Emergency Responder and Public Safety Clinician. Katie is also certified to conduct Juvenile Competency Evaluations in the State of Florida. Leida has worked with all major age groups, but her main focus is ages 2-21yrs. She specializes in clients on the autism spectrum, including those with severe problem behaviors and non-vocal.
